An entertaining and informative walk with arborist Todd Irvine from LEAF and guest speakers explores the stories of trees and plantings in our community. Our local MP Carolyn Bennett will also be attending. The walk takes place on the same day as the “Strawberries and Asparagus Festival” in Cedarvale Park.

Until recently, many energy efficient lighting options for our gardens have been disappointing. We’ve invited Landscape Designer Andrew Skeoch, whose company Fossil Landscapes, has been featured in the April and May issues of Style at Home, to talk to us about the best choices and strategies for energy efficient garden lighting.

Celebrate winter with hot chocolate and tobogganing (Climate Change Permitting – ha, ha, ha).
This will be an outdoor event, so please come dressed appropriately.
Bring your best toboggan. Starting at 2pm Wrap at 6pm.

See a live presentation of An Inconvenient Truth, and join your neighbours to talk about how we can all be part of the climate change solution.

A member of Al Gore’s Climate Change Project will give a live but abbreviated version of the slide show from An Inconvenient Truth, followed by a panel discussion on how we can all get involved as individuals and as a community in climate change solutions.
You will leave with your own personal action plan and information about the resources that are available to help you.
